What is an eGift?

An eGift an easier way to send someone a gift they’ll love. Recipients can choose their color, finish, or formula before their gift is shipped to the address of their choice.

What if the item sold out when they go to redeem their eGift?

The recipient will receive credit equal to the amount of the eGift value.

What if the price increases later?

The recipient will be responsible for the price difference. We recommend rounding up your eGift value to avoid this altogether.

What if it goes on sale after I send it?

The recipient will have extra credit to use on something else (yay!)

Can I use promo codes/coupons to purchase eGift? Same when redeeming?

Unfortunately, you cannot apply promo codes or coupons to eGifts but they can be used when redeeming an eGift.

Is there a fee to send an eGift?

There are no fees associated with eGifts.

Can an eGift be redeemed in store?

An eGift can only be redeemed in store when it is exchanged for an eGift card.

Can the recipient exchange the eGift?

Totally! They can use their eGift Card number to pick something else.

What if tax and or shipping is more or less than cost?

Because tax depends on location, we offer an option that covers a 8.75% tax rate as well as free shipping on all standard ground orders. If they owe a balance, they will be prompted to enter their credit card information at checkout. If they have a remaining balance, it will be added onto a gift card and can be used towards more makeup!

Can I enter in a recommended shade?

You can recommend shades in your message but the recipient will ultimately choose their preferred option(s).

I accidentally typed the wrong email for the recipient. How can I fix it?

If you’ve already sent the eGift you can access our CUSTOMER SUPPORT tools to resend the eGift to a new email address.

Can I cancel my eGift?

You may not return or cancel your eGift Card after it is received. Purchasers who wish to cancel an order for an eGift Card may do so prior to the delivery date selected during the order process by contacting CUSTOMER SERVICE.

When does the recipient receive the eGift?

Recipients are notified within minutes of order completion, but sometimes it can take a few hours to process. You can also schedule a future delivery date for your eGift.

How does my recipient get the eGift if there is no shipping address?

The recipient will fill out their shipping details at checkout.

How do I accept/redeem an eGift?

Click the "Get My Gift" link in your email. Then, your eGift credit will be automatically applied and you can choose your preferred options and shipping address.

Is the eGift reserved until I decide to accept/redeem it?

Items are given or sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. If it is sold out, you can use the value of your eGift towards something else!

I accidentally deleted my eGift email, now what?

No worries, we’ll resend your email. Go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT for more info.

I don’t want the eGift that was sent to me, can I get an eGift Card instead?

Absolutely! You can pick something else with the eGift Card number provided in your email Input the number at checkout. We won't tell ;)

Can I exchange my eGift for something else?

You can use your eGift Card number for something else online or in-store.

Can I exchange or return my redeemed gift in store?

You can return item(s) by mail. Please refer to our returns & exchanges page for full details.

How do I know the value of my eGift?

To view your eGift Card balance, visit https://www.smashbox.com/giftcards/egiftcard.tmpl or CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

Will the sender know that I returned or exchanged the eGift?

The sender will not kow if you returned or exchanged your eGift. We'll keep that between us ;)

Can I exchange for multiple gifts?

You can exchange your gift for an eGift Card. The value of your eGift Card may be used towards anything online or in-store.
