• Pretty Points Program

If you elect to join Smashbox Pretty Points, you must complete a Smashbox Pretty Points registration form, providing your first name, last name and email address and birth date on Smashbox.com/Pretty-Points-Registration.  You may also elect to provide us with your mobile phone number.  Users who wish to access their Smashbox Pretty Points information must provide their name, email address and birth date.  Smashbox Pretty Points will provide you with a Smashbox Pretty Points password, which you may later change, to access your Smashbox Pretty Points account on the Site.  It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your username and password. 

• Smashbox PRO Program

PRO is designed for makeup artists/professionals and makeup artistry and cosmetology students who apply to become a member.  PRO members enjoy access to members-only benefits and discounts on Smashbox products and to the Smashbox PRO newsletter.
To participate in and enjoy the benefits of PRO membership, you will need to submit an application providing your name, phone number and billing address.  In addition, as part of the application process, you may be asked to submit additional information designed to verify your status as a makeup artist/professional or artistry student.  To further enjoy the benefits of membership, all PRO members must set up an online PRO account.  To create your online account, you must provide your email address and a password.

For your security and protection, when you visit the PRO segment of the Site, you will be asked to provide your PRO Membership number and certain additional information such as your contact information (e.g., last name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number) for verification purposes.  If you decide to place an order online, you will also need to provide credit card information such as credit card number and expiration date, as well as delivery and billing address.

• Marketing Emails

If you so elect, the information you provide may be used by Smashbox Online to create and deliver to you emails such as our newsletters, surveys or other email messages containing product and event information, cosmetics tips or promotions ("Emails"). If you do elect to receive them and later decide that you would no longer like to receive these Emails, see the "Your Choices" Section below. You may receive the benefit of hearing from Smashbox Online via mail or phone even if you have not elected to receive Emails. If you do not wish to receive these communications, see the "Your Choices" Section below.

• Pretty Points Program

When you register for Smashbox Pretty Points, you are electing to receive communications from Smashbox Pretty Points and Smashbox’s approved business partners via the method for which contact information was provided.  The information you provide may be used by Smashbox Pretty Points to create and deliver to you our newsletters, surveys or other communications containing Smashbox product and Program event information, beauty tips or promotions (“Pretty Points Communications”).  If you prefer not to receive such Pretty Points Communications, please do not elect to receive them.  If you do so elect and later decide that you would no longer like to receive these Pretty Points Communications, see "Your Choices" Section below.

• Smashbox PRO Program

As part of PRO membership, you will receive our Smashbox PRO newsletter packed with the latest trends in markup and professional artistry.

• Text Messages

If you so elect and are the authorized account holder, you may provide your mobile phone number in order to receive text message alerts containing product and event information, cosmetics tips or promotions (“Text Messages”). There is no fee from Smashbox Online to receive Text Messages, however, message and data rates may apply, and other standard applicable rates may be charged by your mobile service provider. • Communications to Serve You

If you have elected to provide us with your contact information, we may provide you with service related announcements by any means, including email, concerning the Site or contact you regarding your customer service requests or questions or your order. For example, all registered users will receive a welcoming email to confirm their registration. These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide the high level of customer service that Smashbox Online offers its customers.

If you have elected to join Smashbox Pretty Points, we will use your personal information to provide you with membership information.  For example, when you choose to complete registration, Smashbox Pretty Points may use your personal information to respond to your requests and inquiries and provide you with information related to your membership, e.g., benefits, expiration, and to confirm receipt of your application form or to address an issue with your membership.  These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide the high level of customer service that Smashbox Pretty Points offers its members.

• Customized Service

Smashbox PRO may also use your personal information to respond to your requests and inquiries and provide you with information related to your PRO membership; e.g., to confirm receipt of your application form, to provide you with information about your membership such as benefits and expiration or to address an issue with your membership.  These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide the high level of services that the PRO offers to its members.

• Special Events, Questionnaires and Surveys

We may use your personal information to provide you with customized service and use of our Site. For example, we may suggest products that would be of particular interest to you.

On occasion, Smashbox Online and Smashbox PRO may sponsor special events (such as contests, sweepstakes or other offerings), questionnaires and surveys. There may be specific rules applicable to these promotions that explain how any personal information you provide will be processed. We strongly suggest you review any applicable rules before participating. To the extent any special event, questionnaire or survey is not subject to specific rules, the processing of personal information is governed by this Privacy Policy for the purposes set forth herein.

If a special event is jointly sponsored by us and one or more other sponsors, you may chose to permit sharing your personal information with such sponsors as specified at the time of collection of your personal information. We do not control the use, disclosure or security of your personal information by other sponsors, and recommend that you carefully review their respective privacy notices, statements and terms of use before agreeing to share your personal information. If you do not wish your information to be shared with joint sponsors in this manner, you may express this preference when you enter the relevant contest, sweepstake or other promotion.

• Web Beacons and Tracking Links

Web beacons (also called clear gifs and pixel tags), tracking links and/or similar technology consist of a few lines of code and are embedded on the pages of our Site. They are often used in combination with cookies and are often not visible to the user of the Site. Web beacons may relay information to third parties such as our service providers and may be used in order to track customer response to certain advertising, to better target interactive advertising and to enhance customer support and usability. If you reject our cookies (see "Cookies" section below), you will prevent Web beacons from relaying this information about you and may limit your use of some of our Site features.

Browser cookies are bits of text that are placed on your computer's hard drive when you visit our Site. Flash cookies are similar to browser cookies except that they can store data more complex than simple text and are stored in your browser rather than on your hard drive.

Rejecting our cookies will disenable the Coremetrics cookies (described below) as well. If you reject our cookies or opt-out of the use of cookies, you may still use this Site, but you may be limited in the use of some of its features. Temporary or "session" cookies are used to help you shop and will simply expire when you place an order.

• Coremetrics

We are continuously working to make your experience on our Site better. To this end, we have retained a company, Coremetrics, to assist us in better understanding your use of our Site. We will place cookies on your computer to collect information that will show us how you come to our Site and how you use and navigate our Site. Coremetrics does not receive any personal information about you. Coremetrics tracks visitor behavior on our Site through the use of an anonymous permanent cookie which contains no personal information about you. • Smashbox Companies

We may share your personal information with our Affiliates that distribute and market Smashbox products (the "Smashbox Companies").  An "Affiliate" is a person or entity that directly or indirectly through one or more intermediaries, controls or is controlled by, or is under common control with, our company.  Smashbox Companies may use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you prefer that we not share your personal information with Smashbox Companies, please do not provide it to us. We are unable to offer the benefits of the Smashbox Online to anyone who does not consent to the sharing of their personal information with Smashbox Companies.

• Third Parties

We may retain other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf consistent with this Privacy Policy. Examples include data analysis firms, customer support specialists, email vendors, webhosting companies and fulfillment companies (e.g., companies that coordinate mailings). Such third parties may be provided with access to personal information needed to perform their functions but may not use such information other than on our behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In addition, in some instances, you may be offered the opportunity to consent to the sharing of your information with a third party such as an event or promotion co-sponsor. If you consent, we will share your information with such third party and the information you provide may be used by such third party for their own purposes and in accordance with their own policies.

• Business Transfers

As we continue to develop our business, we might sell certain of our assets. In such transactions, user information, including personal information, generally is one of the transferred business assets, and by submitting your personal information on the Site you agree that your data may be transferred to such parties in these circumstances. • Opt-Out and Managing Your Preferences

You may choose whether or not you would like to receive Email from us. You may change your preferences with respect to Email at any time clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each Email you receive from us, or emailing us at SmashboxOnlinetech@Smashbox.com. You may unsubscribe from Text Messages by texting STOP in reply to any Text Message you receive from us or by texting "Stop" to SMASHB (762742) from your mobile device. You may also choose not to receive mail or phone communications by emailing us at SmashboxOnlinetech@Smashbox.com and specifying that this is your preference.
Smashbox Pretty Points members may choose whether or not they would like to receive Pretty Points Communications from Smashbox Pretty Points by accessing your account at www.smashbox.com and visiting the “Preferences” page or by calling 1-888-763-1361.  Smashbox Pretty Points members may also change their preferences with respect to Pretty Points Communications at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any Smashbox Pretty Points email received from us or by emailing us at SmashboxPrettyPointsInfo@Smashbox.com. Please note if you elect not to receive Pretty Points Communications via postal mail or telephone, you may no longer be a member of Smashbox Pretty Points.
To opt-out of PRO, a member should contact Smashbox PRO at smashboxproartist@smashbox.com or phone (888) 763-1361.

In addition if you would like to change your other preferences, e.g, with respect to the transfer of data as described in the "Business Transfers" Section, please contact us at SmashboxOnlinetech@Smashbox.com or at SmashboxPrettyPointsInfo@smashbox.com for Smashbox Pretty Points members.  Please note that if you withdraw your consent to certain processing and/or transfers, we may no longer be able to provide you with the benefits of Smashbox Pretty Points and will delete your personal information if required in response to your request.
